Success Story Knuspr: Deckung des gesamten Bewerberbedarfs
Initial position
For the market launch of its innovative online supermarket "Knuspr", Munich-based Großer Kern GmbH was looking for a suitable partner with whom the major challenges of a market launch could be overcome. The most demanding tasks involved setting up a driver pool, finding the first suitable drivers, staffing the locations outside the urban areas and the possibility of rapid scaling. To meet the launch date of the delivery service, the recruiting process had to be as simple and efficient as possible and also meet the company's high standards.
Since Großer Kern GmbH needed a partner who could also keep up with the rapid growth of an online supermarket like "Knuspr" - and the accompanying rapid increase in the need for qualified drivers - they opted for WorkerHero's innovative concept and against time-consuming and inefficient application processes.
With the practical software solution, the processes were significantly facilitated and accelerated. In the process, WorkerHero primarily took over the following tasks and thus proved to be a valuable support:
- Sourcing for suitable candidates (active & passive)
- Pre-qualification and matching of suitable candidates
- Automated communication and interview agreement with applicants
- Preliminary assessment questions
- Document review & contract matters
By using Simpmatch (WorkerHero), the recruiting process was jointly analyzed, optimized and successfully implemented.
The solution
For us at Simpmatch (WorkerHero), the focus is on our customers and the requirements in their respective business field. Accordingly, we developed a customized process for Großer Kern GmbH to support the company in the best possible way during the launch of "Knuspr". Our Customer Growth Manager was always available as a central contact person for the "Knuspr" team in order to be able to make adjustments in the processes or other arrangements at short notice. Furthermore, we are currently in a position to handle short-term increases in demand in consultation with "Knuspr". With a combination of marketing and recruiting, suitable candidates for the corresponding driver jobs were searched for and found. With our software solution and our expertise and experience in the field of recruitment, it was possible to significantly simplify and accelerate the recruiting process. Among the decisive advantages are the shortening of the process to only one applicant day as well as the amazingly short time span of 2 days until feedback is received from the candidates. Tasks that are usually very time-consuming - such as pre-selecting qualified candidates for interviews and drawing up contracts - were made much more efficient thanks to automation, thereby decisively relieving the "Knuspr" HR department team. Ultimately, the hiring rate was increased significantly and the launch of "Knuspr" took place on schedule.
We look forward to accompanying Großer Kern GmbH on its way in the future and to supporting "Knuspr" in its further growth.

The company
The German online supermarket Knuspr delivers fresh, high-quality food directly to customers' homes within three hours. The full range focuses on fresh produce such as fruit and vegetables, meat and fish, dairy products, and baked goods. Among other things, the origin and logistics make the difference: Knuspr sources more than two-thirds of its full range directly from producers and farmers, not from wholesalers and/or middlemen.
Knuspr is part of Rohlik Group, one of the leading online food delivery services in Europe, founded in 2014 by Tomáš Čupr in the Czech Republic. The company operates in the Czech Republic (Rohlik.cz), Hungary (Kifli.hu), Austria (Gurkerl.at), Germany (Knuspr.de) and Italy (Sezamo.it), and will launch in Romania and Spain under the Sezamo brand in the coming months. Rohlik owns its own end-to-end IT infrastructure, offers an excellent customer experience and the freshest food from local farmers and producers. To deliver its wide range of quality products (more than 17,000 items), the company uses world-leading technologies and logistics solutions and can offer a 15-minute delivery window in some countries and delivery within 90 minutes of the order. The company is growing rapidly and reached unicorn status in 2021. Rohlik Group's turnover is €500 million.
